Dixon Batteries was founded in 1961 to serve the car battery market in Montreal. The company has changed a lot since then. We always listened to our customers throughout the years.
The actual company president joins the family business as a full time employee. New ideas and challenges bring a wind of fresh air to a better organized structure. The long work hours pay off.
The brother and actual company vice president joins the team and organizes the workforce. This is the year Pol-R Batteries was founded to begin the import of wholesale batteries. We became our own supplier/customer and the creation of the trademark Pol-R.
We promoted a customer service employee into a salesperson to sell batteries to the specialized medical market.
The year we purchased of commercial buildings on Louis Hebert to allow us a greater potential in distribution efficiency. During this year we experienced an expansion of sales in all the markets where we are present.
I have been working for Batteries Dixon for the past 19 years. The road has been winding but interesting.
In 1995, I have decided to take over the family business. I had the vision to transform the family business into a flourishing well established company. I had many projects in my mind but uncertain of how to accomplish them.
The road, the dream I had became real. I have not lost my dream or my vision it only changed towards new directions and new market opportunities.

Garry Tremblay, born in 1971 in Montreal, worked part time during his studies since 1989. Graduate in Mechanical Engineering at Ahuntsic College and worked as a designer and project manager in industrial refrigeration for 8 years. Join the family business in 2000.
